Communications Group
Transition is about community - and communities can't thrive
without good communication. Our aim, in the communication
group, is to make it as easy and effective as possible for
everybody within transition Henley to keep in touch - and
to get and stay in touch with the wider Henley community.
These days, a lot of communication is electronic and we love
websites and social networking sites. We maintain this website,
Twitter and Facebook pages and a Yahoo List.
We also know that those aren't all of the answer. The strongest
communities are built on face to face communication. We look
for ways to bring people together to have conversations about
their hopes for the future and their fears of possible disruption
due to peak oil, climate change or the straightened financial
times we are about to live through. We organise regular "Introduction
to Transition" sessions, Film Nights, Inspirational Speakers
and "Conversations"
If your main interest in the Transition Movement lies with
its potential for building a resilient and sustainable community
with the coherence to "get stuff done" then please

All talents are welcome. Are you a photographer, a budding
video director, a marketing person, a journalist? Can you
