Wellbeing

Person to Contact: Gill Dodds

As we undergo who knows what kind of changes in the coming months and years, how will we respond mentally, emotionally and spiritually? What support do we have as a community that is uniting and accessible to all?

First Step
In response to this question, we are setting up a Health and Wellbeing Group. As our first step, we are working with Henley’s group of complementary therapists, who have kindly offered to give the people of Henley the opportunity to experience a variety of therapies, for people to begin to learn how they can heal themselves. These sessions are free of charge, but we will invite those who attend the sessions to offer a donation towards the charity Giving Africa. This charity aims to build a school in the very poor West African country of Burkino Faso. The first session is on 27 September from 12 noon to 2pm in the King’s Barn Henley, and we hope to run these sessions weekly, every Monday lunchtime, until Christmas. Please do come along and take this opportunity to experience something new and potentially helpful. If you would like more information about this please contact Val Stoner

Second Step
We plan to hold a public meeting to explore how this new group should develop. This will be your opportunity to have a say in what we do next and get involved in helping a new group achieve its aims of supporting Henley as a community to become more resilient and sustainable. If you are interested in getting involved, or want to be noified of the meeting, please contact Gill Dodds
